A message from Paige~

Wow! What a time we are living in! Its easy during times of uncertainty, unknowns and unpredictability to be feel anxious, worried and fearful. In fact, I’ve had to go back in recent weeks – due to a miscarriage that happened the week after Thrive 2020, dealing with a close friend moving away and now living through this Coronavirus pandemic – to the message that God gave me to speak in session 3. I needed the words He gave in that message, when anxiety and worries threatened to arise, to remind me as Paul reminded the Philippian church:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”
Philippians 4:6
I had to be reminded again, that while I will have trouble in this life, I can take heart because Jesus has overcome the world and that my hope always rests in Him. HE alone is my foundation, and because He is, I can go to Him in prayer about the events in my life that bring anxiety. I can pray 1) for what I need as I go through the situation and 2) with a heart of thanksgiving as I am reminded of all He has done and WHO He is.
And when I do that, I am promised in Philippians 4:7 – “And the PEACE (the opposite of fear, anxiety, worry) of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Love, Paige
What’s a situation in your life that makes you feel out of your control and/or helpless, that triggers fears and worry and anxiety, and that causes you to doubt and question the Lord?
Are you taking your requests to God about what makes you anxious? Why or why not?
How could use that peace of God that transcends ALL understanding to flood your heart and mind?
What is one step moving forward that you need to take to experience God’s peace in your circumstances?
